In Kyoto, a priest was walking slowly - one foot, heel to toe. I asked him if I could take his photograph. He smiled and nodded yes. The folds in his black robe. The lace design in his rust color. His hand holding black and white beads with tassels. The thin white cloth under his bowl. All these lines, shapes and colors. This was my portrait of him.
